Summer

This summer has seemed to have gone by way fast for me! Its crazy! This summer has been kind of crazy but it has also been a lot of fun! I have done lots of fun things. Here are some fun things that happened during the summer.

• EFY: I had the amazing opportunity to go to EFY! It was so much fun and it was one of the greatest experiences ever. My testimony grew so much stronger and I felt the spirit so much during the entire week. I also made lots of new wonderful friends and lots of wonderful memories that I am sure to never forget.
• EMILY AND JOSH'S WEDDING: My sister Emily got married to Josh Armstrong on Saturday July 12th in the Logan Temple. After the wedding they had a luncheon at Coppermill. I am so happy to have Josh as part of our family now.
• CALIFORNIA: Emily and Josh had a wedding reception in California so we got to go to California! The reception was great and California was fun! We went to Disneyland and California Adventures. In California Adventures they had a world of color show that was absolutely amazing! It was my favorite part of disneyland. it gave me the chills. So if any of you are planning on going to disneyland don't miss the world of color show. We also went to the beach which was really cool and fun!!! I loved it!
• GIRLS CAMP/YOUTH CONFERENCE: For girls camp we went to Cinnamon creek.... AGAIN. It was pretty fun though! And this year I am 14 so I got to go to youth conference and it was a ton of fun! We went and rafted the Snake River which was a ton of fun!!! Then we drove to Bear Lake and stayed the night there and then the next day we hiked to Bloomington Lake. At Bloomington lake they have a rope swing which people swing out and jump into the lake. But the Lake was FREEZING so people were just swinging out over the lake and swinging back in. I looked at everyone doing it and I thought it looked like fun but I was also nervous that i was going to fall in. But finally I decided I was going to try. So I was kind of nervous but I grabbed onto the rope and swung out but as I was swinging out over the lake I could feel my hands trying to slip. I tried to keep my grip but I couldn't and next thing I know I'm in the freezing cold water. But it was actually pretty fun and the water didn't seem too cold to me.
• FAMILY REUNION: We had our annual Swenson Family Reunion at the Redneck Water slide which was a lot of fun!!!!!! It was fun to be together as a family. Also my family made a train to see how far we could get and it was a ton of fun! We have lots of fun memories from that day.

• RAFTING: The next day, after the reunion we went up to Jackson and went Rafting the Snake River! It was a ton of fun, although on our second trip down it everyone kept on pushing me in. It seemed like every second they were pushing me in. But it was really fun to go rafting as a whole family again.

• IDAHO: Sarah and Garrett let me stay a week with them in Rupert which was a ton of fun!! I loved it! We went boating and I got up on a wake board and so did Sarah. We are very proud of Sarah because that is the first time she has gotten up on anything! I also went to Sarah's classes. We got pedicures, went to Twin Falls, went shopping, went to the fair, and did a bunch of other stuff. But it was a ton of fun! Thanks Sarah and Garrett

So this summer has been full of lots of great memories and lots of fun times. It has been kind of crazy and stressful at times but it was still a lot of fun! And I loved it. Its just too bad summer is now coming to and end. I guess I will have to wait for a whole other year for summer to come again.

Back to School

So it has been forever since I have updated my blog so sorry. But school is just a week away and I am getting pretty nervous. I am going to a new school that I haven't even been inside of so I have absolutely NO idea where any of the classes are, I also don't know very many people there so its going to be pretty scary but hopefully I will like it. Another bad thing about school is that North Cache starts a week later then Logan, so for this past week I have been really bored because everyone is at school! I can't believe I am actually saying this but I actually kind of wish that school was starting now, I'm kind of ready for school. Its not that I want school to start or that I'm ready for summer to be over its just I'm ready for school to start. I hear about everyone going to there first day of school, or people are talking about how their first day of school was and it kind of makes me wish that I was starting school . But I only have to wait another week. So wish me luck at a new school (I might need it)

12 more days!!!!!!!!!!!

Time flies by so fast!!!!! Now there are only 12 more days until I go to Disney World! (a little over a week and half.) I am so nervous though! The first thing to worry about is all of the school That I will have to miss. I will miss 4 maybe 5 days of school and that will be a lot of work to make up! Also I will miss the last two days of the tri and the first two maybe three days of the first of third tri. So I'm kind of stressed out about all of the school work. Next I will have to worry about the flight. I haven't gone on a plane since I was about 7 so I can't really remember it so I am way scared! I am first of all scared about having to sit next to some creepy man! Im also scared because of all the things with bombs on planes going on lately! Another thing to worry about is loosing my luggage. It would be horrible to have to disneyworld without any clothes :( And then I am afraid about the actual flying part. Did you know that........

• Planes usually fly around 500-600 miles per hour?!?!
  
• That a passanger plane weighs about 57,000 lbs! (give or take a little it depends on the plane and how many people are going and what the plane is holding.)
• In 12 days from now I will be in a big piece of metal that weights about 57,000 lbs going up in the sky flying up in the air gowing about 500-600 miles per hour.

How can a 57,000 lb. piece of metal holding a ton of people stay up in the air? Its so scary to think about! And whats even scarier is that in 12 days i will be flying in one! Yikes! So after I am done with the flight you would THINK that I would stop worrying and I would have a worry free time in diney world right?.... Wrong! After I get off the plane i will then start to worry about competition. I have never done a competition before so I am REALLY scared and I don't know if we are ready! I think it will be so scary though I mean performances are already scary enough but now you have to do a huge performance and this performance will decide if you are champions or.... well loosers. And as you do this dance performance all of these people are going to watch your every move.... just waiting for you to mess up so they can knock points off of your score....... they are judging you and at the end of the competion they will decide whether or not you are good dancers or not. Scary and stressful right? But after I am done with competition then I won't have anything else to worry about..... well except for the rides are really scary if you think about it (But I won't get into that because I don't want to be scared for the rides!) But I am still way excited but also way nervous! Lets hope I come back alive haha!

A quick update

wow I really haven't written for a long time. (sorry I have just been so busy and I always forget about my blog.) But so far everything is going pretty good. I am just trying to get through the school year (I can't wait for this year to be over!) Dance is going really good! I am loving it and I am going to Florida in less then a month! Wahoo! We are going to be gone for six days and we are going to compete in Disney World. For the next three days after the competition its just us and the parks. (How fun is that?!) So next week is one of the worst days of the year for me and that would be..... Single Awareness Day (More popularly known as Valentines Day.) I know I know I am so young and I don't care that there isn't "someone speciel" out there in fact I really quite enjoy it. I mean I'm 13 years old. But Valentines Day bugs me because you walk around school and you see everyone carrying bouquets of flowers, stuffed animals, chocolate, candy grams, presents, and there I am with nothing. Haha oh well its ok. I am sorry for not updating in a long time... I just get so dang busy. But I will try to write more often from now on.

School Days School Days...........

So school has started up and it is sooooo fun! Just a little warning this is gonna be a long blog haha. Alright so on the first day of school I got to school at 7:15 in the morning! We practiced for our skit and ya..... then when the rest of the 7th and 8th graders came we did our skit! And it was super fun! That school day was both fun and boring. Then later at 5:30, I had to go to dance and it was really fun! A lot more fun then tuellers! So right after dance I went straight to the school to help with 6th grade back to school night. But most of the time I just hung out with Jeffry, Kincade, Corbin, and Jane haha and we went a little crazy! Hahahahahahah We all have so many inside jokes from that night because we were so hyper! Then the next day of school was so fun! WE had to go to help the 6th graders find their classes and do our skit! And something very embarrasing happened that day! lol but ya it was so fun! Cuz we just goofed off that whole day and we were throwing footballs in the hall and riding our scooters and stuff! Except for I hit Kincade in the head with the football and I wacked Jeffry in the stomach and I ran into Sadie and Karrissa during our skit but it was so fun! And we even had a pizza party! And they had mtn. Dew there and it made us all really hyper! lol but I think this year will be a good year! (Sorry I am kinda hyper while writing this post........ so sorry if it doesn't make any sense

1 1/2 more weeks of freedom.........

Alright so as most of you know, summer is almost over! At first I was SO excited for school to start but now I am not excited at all! I am just kind of sad that summer is over and soon the weather is going to get cold which I DO NOT like at all! And also it will kinda be sad because I can't really hang out with my friends very much so yeah I am not very excited. But i did get my schedule so this is my schedule for 8th grade

1. Gym with Mrs. Lisonbee!!! (since when is she a gym teacher?! That class will be interesting)
2. U.S. History with Ms. Hymas (I heard she is awesome so I am excited)
3. Peer Tutor (I am really excited for this class I think it will be fun)
4. English with Mrs. Nielsen (I heard she is kinda strict but still nice)
5. Math with Lentz (I am SoOoO excited for that class!
6. Science with Westrich (Heard she is crazy but sooo fun!)
7. Spanish with Gunn (I think his class is fun so I am excited)
8. AP/Student council Godderidge/Lentz (I am so excited it will be lots of fun!!!!!!

So I got a really good schedule and I am soo excited! And I have lots of friends in my classes too! And by I am excited I mean I am excited I have a good schedule I am still not excited for school to start. But hopefully I will have lots of fun and crazy adventures for the last week and a half of freedom :D

SecondHand Serenade Concert!!!!!!

THE SECONDHAND SERENADE CONCERT WAS SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! So me and my dad arrived at thanksgiving point at about 4:3o and we got our tickets. And we sat in the blazing hot sun until about 5:30, then at about 5:30 we all got in a line and stood in the blazing hot sun until 6:00! It was soo hot!Then when we got in we found a pretty good spot on the grass and put our blanket there. Then we waited once again in the blazing hot sun until 7:00. Then at 7:00 the concert started. It started off with this band called Single File, i had never heard of them until the concert and they were ok but all their songs kinda sounded the same. So they played for a while and then after that they had a little break thingy and then another band called We Shot The Moon performed. I didn't reallly listen to them because I was walking around with my dad, we went and got kettle Corn and then I saw the lead singer of Single File standing by a table so I decided to get a pic with him. Then we went back and after We Shot the Moon they had another break. And then Parachute went out and performed!!!!!! They were amazing!!!!!!!!! I LOVE parachute!!!! Haha so as Parachute was singing their last song everybody ran over to this pavillion thing to wait for Parachute to come so we could meet them. And so after waiting a long time.... they finally came!!!!!! And so I got to meet them and get a picture with them (and I have to apologize because i took the picture on my sisters camera and my sister is in Iowa and we can't find the chord to hook it up to the computer so I can't add the pics until i find the chord) So after the picture with Parachute we went back and SecondHand Serenade was performing! They were so good!!!!!!!!!! My favorite song that SecondHand Serenade performed was definetely Fall For you! So Secondhand Serenade performed for a while and the concert got over at about 11:15 and it was quite a day!!!!!!!! It was SOOOOO Much fun!

Happy Pioneer Day!

Hey Everyone! I hope you are having a great pioneer day! I am REALLY excited because tomorrow I am going to the SecondHand Serenade Concert at thanksgiving point! This will be my first concert haha so I am really excited! The guest performers are parachute (they sing She is Love) So I am way excited! I am also excited because in about a month I am going to take dance.... AGAIN! hehe but instead of taking at tuellers I am going to take at Rythem Connection! At tuellers I didn't do competetive dance... I just learned dances and performed once at the end of the year so it was REALLY boring! And plus we had to do like ballet and tap and I really didn't enjoy it, plus i didn't have any friends. But at Rythem Connection we do Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical! Also, my friends Rachel, Tiffany, and Haley take there so it should be fun! And at Rhythem Connection we do competitions... and the best part is this year one of the competitions will be held in DisneyWorld in Florida!!!!!!! Although my mom said that there is no way I am going to Florida I am going to work really hard for money to go and plus maybe it could be part of my B-Day present. But we will have to see but I think it would be SOOO much fun to go to disneyworld with lots of my friends and hang out then compete in DisneyWorld!!!! (So if any of you wouldn't mind... please help to convince my parents to let me go, although its not until like March haha) But ya I miss everyone and I hope you are all having a great summer!!!!! I love you all!

Girls Camp, Lava Hot Springs, and Rafting!

So this past week has been very busy for me! First of all, I had girls camp! Our theme for girls camp this year was B.U.G.S and our ward was the preying mantis. On the first day at camp we mostly just hung out and played games and stuff oh and we had Ward Tours and we did face painting and then the second years had to cook a meal for certification and it was surprisingly really good! Then we went to bed and Maddie, Lacee, and Megan were in my tent. The next day we went on a hike and then we had lunch. Then there was the stake water activity....... but i didn't feel very good so i didn't go. Then we did our skits and stuff and it was pretty embarrasing. The next day I felt horrible! I felt so sick! But that day we did archery, crafts, certification, and service projects. Then we hung out and then later we had testimony meeting and it was amazing! But then after my dad picked me up from girls camp and took me home. the next day we went to Lava Hot Springs and I met up with my cousin at the pool and we went swimming and it was so much fun! We went on these really steep slides that were so much fun! Then we went to the family reunion and it was pretty fun..... but very long! After we went back to the pool and my little 7 and 9 year old cousins are so brave! they went on the straight slides! After we went to the hot pool things and it felt so good! then the next day we drove to Alpine and set up our tent trailer at this scary hotel! but we played on the playground then we had dutch oven and played and then we went to my cousins hotel and swam a little bit. Then the next day we went rafting! it was so much fun! The river was running at about 7,000. The first time we went we missed a lot of the rapids but luckilly no one fell out, then we had lunch after and went on the second trip. On the second trip we were all crazy and hyper! And J.R. fell out on Lunch Counter! It was so funny!!!!! Then after rafting we headed back home! this past week has been super crazy but really fun! (Sorry this was a really long post, i just had lots to say)

3rd of July.... Awesome day!

Ok so yesterday was the 3rd of July and it was SOOO much fun! So in the morning Cache my little nephew came up and we watched him while Emily did Anna's hair. Then at 4:30 my family came up and we went to Iggie's to celebrate my dad's birthday. When we were there my dad ordered this specieal appetizer thing and my mom said that it was going to big but when they brought it out...... it was huge!!!!! In fact for the plate they used a trash can lid it was so big! So we all dug into the appetizers and the bread and by the time the food came out we were pretty full. The food was so good! (Except for Anna's Fishwater steak.. .haha I thought it tasted like river water!) So after iggie's we went back to the house and my dad opened presents and then Kendra came. Then we went up to the stadium to watch the fireworks and we found Koda there. The fireworks were really cool and pretty! Then after the fireworks me and Kendra had to walk hom and there was this car that came and we thought that they were going to kidnap us! So I almost started crying and I was freaking out... but turns out they just had to stop to close their trunk and they were laughing at us really hard. But it was a really fun day! And thanks Koda for letting me and Kendra sitting by you/

Happy 4th of July!

Hey Everyone! I hope you have a great 4th of July and I am kind of sad because After this weekend, I won't really see you guys for a while since its going to be kind of crazy with girls camp and family reunions and stuff. But Happy 4th of July! (Even though today is the 3rd, its basically the 4th since we celebrate the 4th on the 3rd here haha) But hopefully you guys enjoy the fireworks and maybe i will even see some of you at the stadium :D

Ok so today is Sunday and I am really bored........ and Sarah told me to do a post on my blog so here it is. Haha I don't have much to say but lets see I have girls camp in a week and a half and I am not excited at all!!! After Girls camp I am getting picked up early for a family reunion............ We are goign to Lava hot springs! I am pretty excited. Then after that we will stay at a campground place and then on Monday we will go rafting for the first time this summer! haha I am so excited! I miss you all and hope we can hang out soon.

Summer

So its summer right now and i miss all of you so much!!!!!! We really need to hang out sometime because I miss you guys :( This summer has been pretty boring and sad and lonely hehe I just want to go back to school and I want 8th grade to go by fast so I can see all of my friends that are in high school. But I just wanted to let you all know that I miss you A LOT and we need to hang out sometime soon :D

Schools out!

Well We did it! We went through another school year! It just seems like yesterday when I was going into 6th grade. It is crazy how fast time flies by! So far Summer of '09 has been awesome! Although we only got out yesterday haha. Yesterday, after saying bye to all of my friends and after signing yearbooks, and after school got out, I went to Jamba with Autumn, Jamie, Koda, and Becca. Then we went back to Becca's and hung out till 11:00 and it was so much fun! Today I haven't really done anything but I am getting ready to go to Autumn's and Kendra's house, then after that I will be going to Maddi's birthday party. I can't believe I am an 8th grader now it is so crazy! I love you all and will miss you all over the summer and for those of you that are Freshman now, and are going into high school I will miss you guys and can't wait to see you guys when I become a freshman

Well I haven't written on my blog for such a long time so I decided I need to start writing again. Quite a bit has happened since I last wrote and one of those things was that I became an aunt! John and Anna had their baby, and his name is Cache John Swenson. He is really cute (I have only seen pictures though, I haven't been able to see him in real life yet, but the pictures of him are really cute!) So I was REALLY excited about that. Another thing that has happened was that I just barely got my first cell phone! I am so happy and excited! It is a samsung gravity and it is white and teal blue. I love it. There are only 8 more days of school left and I can't believe it at all! Normally I would be really happy and excited but this year I am REALLY sad, I think I am going to cry on the last day of school haha. I will just miss all of my friends during the summer and I will really miss my 8th grade friends (Koda, Jamie, Autumn etc.)) And next year my dad is going to Sky View so he won't be my prinicipal anymore. I am really sad but I am also very happy for him. So with school coming to an end I just want to say thanks for being such great friends and I will miss seeing you guys!

Las Vegas

I just got back from Las Vegas and It was SO much fun! I loved it! Although it was very gross and dirty. But I had so much fun! When we first got there we swam at our hotel for a little bit. Our hotel had like 4 swimming pools and a huge lazy river with waterfalls and stuff like that! After that we walked to the Cheese Cake factory and ate there and looked at this Aquarium thing haha. Then we went to the Bilagio hotel and looked at the garden thing, it was so pretty! Then, we walked outside and the fountain show was about to start, so we watched that. It was so pretty because it was late at night and there was this eifell tower thing lit up in the background and the fountains were amazing! After that, we went to New York New York and rode the rollercoaster. That was SO much fun!!!! I loved it! But after a long day of walking we went back to the hotel and went to bed. Then next morning, we woke up and ate breakfast at McDonalds and then checked out of our hotel. Then, we went to M&M World, it was pretty fun but we were sad that the movie and the factory thing was closed. Then we wanted to go see this shark aquarium at Mandalay Bay (we thought it was free) So we rode the monerail to Mandalay Bay and ended up walking clear to the back of the hotel! We were SO tired! And come to find out, when we FINALLY reached the aquarium we found out it costed like $20 per person! So we just ended up walking all the way back! We were going to go to Circus Circus but after all the long walking we were so tired! So we just ended up heading back to St. George. But it was so fun! Although I have to admit I am very happy to be home in Logan, Las Vegas was really scary and gross (especially at night) So I am happy to be home and I missed all of you guys A lot!

Spring Break!

I am so happy it is finally Spring break. Too bad it is still FREEZING!!!!!! I am so sick of the snow haha. I don't really know what my plans for spring break are yet but I am sure I will find something to do. Too bad its not warm though. Oh well. Well I hope you all have a great spring break!

Wow! My birthday is coming up pretty soon and I can't wait! I can't believe I am going to become a teenager. It just seemed like yesterday when I was dressing up, playing with barbies, playing house, and yes.... Even watching sesame street! (But don't worry, that was not yesterday haha it was like 7 years ago, but it sure does seem like yesterday!) I am kind of sad to be growing up so fast. But I am also really excited! I can't wait! Only 22 more days.... not that I'm counting or anything haha
